This was no more than a short 200 lap regular race. Not a All-Star race, with speed, segments, etc. lol.

First off congrats to Larson on the All Star win and the Cup/Truck Sweep!!! Overall I think we can agree it was amazing to see North Wilkesboro resurrected from the dead and able to be a functioning track all these years later, but........

This race was a dry one at that to watch, which I sadly could have seen happening months ago with this as the Gen7 just still doesn't click at the short tracks. Undisputedly I would say the return of North Wilkesboro as the All Star race was a hit to all the diehard fans of NASCAR, but sadly the race was very meh to say the least due to the short track package. Not taking anything away from Larson, he flat out dominated and was able to get track position due to getting newer tires with that early caution along with then being able to roll away from everyone else, but NASCAR has got to fix the short track package ASAP.

Whatever we had with the later years of the Gen6 worked pretty great at short tracks, and sadly looks like top tier short track racing compared to what we have now at the short tracks. I'd always preach raise the HP but that's not the full solution, despite this package being down on HP (670HP vs 750HP in 2021). Go back to the drawing board and find another solution to make the short track package better, cause it's still not there sadly. Coke 600 here we come!

Or let the teams make there own Chassis again not technique Chassis

NASCAR is Going backwards on the Chassis part the Cup Car Shouldn't be like IMSA GT Pro heck even Garage 56 Car is Different

200% agree there, let each team make their own cars again from scratch, not with NASCAR's chassis that is issued to everyone

Garage 56 is it's own different enigma, I just hope the car lasts the full 24 at Le Mans, would be neat to see even though it's more of a spec then stock car due to regs

Personally, the entire race to me was a throwback to the past and I LOVED IT! Lapping cars up to almost what, 10 place. Cars coming and going. Good clean racing without a lot of fluff.
Took me back to the days of old when racing didn’t have to have all the drama …and fans still enjoyed and appreciated it.

It was still a pretty good race in my opinion after looking back a little bit more due to the reasons you said, most importantly cause there was no drama which for some reason everyone feels there needs to be at every short track. Let the races unfold normally and the dramatic moments will come more naturally, and not as manufactured.

I thought it was supposed to be an All-Star race, with an All-Star format. All out fast speed & dash for cash! Not an regular race format, plus having drivers laying over & and letting other drivers go by. lol. Bring back Charlotte. lol. Just an opinion.

Last night was the first race I’ve watched entirely all year. I wanted to see how Wilkesboro was. There’s nothing wrong with the track. It was obviously a challenge for the drivers, and that’s a good thing. Larson dominated, which isn’t surprising. Nothing wrong with that either. Back in the β€˜90’s, I don’t ever remember having the discussion with fellow fans about whether a race was exciting enough, boring, or whatever. Back then, one guy dominating a race happened all the time, and usually it was the guy in the 24. As a fan I appreciated the talent I was seeing. Every race isn’t a barn burner. I’d rather watch a race where the natural conclusion happens, and sometimes that means a guy runs away with it. The 5 deserves the win because they were better than everyone else last night. Add a couple hundred more HP everywhere they go, get some DF off the cars, and call it good. I don’t need gimmicks, late race BS cautions (surprised we didn’t get one last night with 10 to go), etc. Give me powerful cars, tracks that challenge driver talent, and I’ll watch. This stuff of acting like a race is failure because one dominated needs to stop. It’s a competition. Not every football game goes to overtime. Sometimes there are blowouts. Part of it.

Personally - I think if NASCAR is going to continue having an "All-Star" race it should be done in equipment that's equally prepared and not by their teams - similar to SRX and IROC.
It shouldn't be like any other week on the schedule where you know who might win. It should only be for drivers who won the season before, past champions, and a fan-vote winner. None of the racing your way in, or anything like that - it should be the All Stars only. Adding too many drivers dilutes who is an all-star because frankly, Noah Gragson is not an "All-Star" in the cup series. But if he's voted in, given equal equipment, and wins against the others, then that's impressive, that's a "Million Dollar Storyline" and what would make an "All-Star."

I don't care if it's 10 drivers, 16 drivers, 8 drivers, or even less. I want it to be the best drivers in the series going against each other with no team or equipment advantage.

It should be fun, dynamic, feature different types of racing, etc. If NASCAR wants it to be special, make it special. Take a gamble and completely change the format.

            1965 Gwyn Staley 400,
Junior Johnson led 356 laps of 400 from the Pole. Speed 95 mph average, 85,000 fans.
I am ok with the results, the track, and the fan excitement for the event yesterday,
            thats why they race.

Lololololol....... This wasn't an All-star race... this was a poor product on a great track.... These cars Freaking suck!!! This isn't damn IMSA!!!!! Might as well put them in IROC or Go-Karts....... This Gen of a car is the joke! I don't mind a car getting out there. But basically if you are out front thats it..... This tire was a joke! But sooooo loved the track!!!!

Like Me and Buzz was Saying if Nascar would let the Teams build there own Chassis like what happened with the Gen6 instead these Chassis want to Xfinity teams nothing wrong with car Body's just the underbody needs a fix

I like how jacked Larson is on the radio after a win. I love the NASCAR scanner feature. His reaction after calling it an old fashion ass-whooping reminded me last year after his win at Homestead. Similar reaction and he exclaimed "let's go win another championship!" He's on the right path.

He may be a little dude, but big time wheel man talent.

Charles Dickens quote: β€œIt was the best of times, it was the worst of times” for Jeff Gordon. The best of times, winning the race, the worst of times, marrying gold digger Brooke (Winston Cup Victory Lane girl). lol.
